Western blot

A Western blot is an analytical technique that separates proteins by gel electrophoresis, transfers them onto a membrane, and detects a specific target using antibodies. In peptide and biochemical research it is used to confirm the identity, presence, or relative abundance of a protein or peptide within a sample.
