Purity

Purity is the proportion of a sample that consists of the target compound, expressed as a percentage of the total measured material, with the remainder comprising impurities such as related peptides, salts, or solvents. In peptide research it is commonly determined by HPLC, where the target peak's area is compared to the total peak area.
